My Dad....it happen in my birthday, he would never fail to call me and wish me a happy birthday, but in October 16,2004 the phone was silent until I received a disturbing call that my dad had a massive attack and he was no responding. There is so much I can tell you about my dad. He was it, funny and a live character. He made me laugh all of the time. He was a man that would hide his pain behind a smile and will demonstrate joy and happiness. Big hearted man humble and well loved by his daughters. My father is with God. I asked God to give me a sign to assure me that he was ok, and the same night of his wake, a lighting bug flew in top of my hand in a dark close room. Then I realized, God gave me a sign that he was next to him, in Heaven, with my grandparents and family no longer with us. Waiting for us and for the time we can all be together. I LOVE YOU PAPI, you will always be missed.

I know, huh. I said the same thing to them. I think as the whole origin coffee fad grows we'll see more variation in the products. Right now they compost the cherries and return them to the farms (I think they sell it), so it's not all wasted.

Who knows why coffee tea never found a niche? It might also be because most people outside of the coffee growing regions have never seen a coffee cherry and aren't familiar with its history. I live in the middle of it, and I didn't know half the stuff these farmers told me. The only other place within the US jurisdiction that grows coffee is Hawaii... another island far far from the mainland.

So, in the end, it's probably a marketing issue *chuckle*.

Okay, there must be millions of tons of these coffee cherries being thrown away every year. If we can find some way of making a sellable product out of them, we could make some serious money!

Hehehe, that's my chair.

Don't get me wrong I think it's a good thing you are humorous about your family but "My family never ceases to crack me up" really is more of a double edge sword with both tips pointing at you:)

Wow, nice that Olaia can laugh at herself! Emily would have a serious fit if she made a little gaff like that and we all laughed.

While I enjoy any blogging endeavor that mentions Fear Factor, even obliquely, I'm especially fond of this posting, since it pairs said Fear Factor reference with an odd but effective Catholic allusion in an homage to one of my favorite literary devices (nearly on a par with dramatic irony, and far overshadowing, in this reader's oh-so-humble opinion, onomatopoeia): the oft-maligned and woefully underutilized journey sentence.
In other words: Suck it, Papa Hemingway. I'd rather read Dickens, Joyce, or Pynchon.
