Genndy Tartakovsky was involved with each. He was the animation director for The Power Puff Girls and directed quite a few of the episodes. I think there were a lot of similar subtexts in each too.
On this one, I vote conservative. But actually I’m women’s lib. Power Puff Girls are made by conventional female oppressors. Samurai Jack will silence them all.
